Nola Baggio (b. 2002) is a Canadian media artist, filmmaker and photographer based in Montréal. She holds a BFA in Film Production from Concordia University’s Mel Hoppenheim School of Cinema. Having directed a body of experimental and documentary short films, she is expanding her practice toward video and installation art. Deeply engaged with diverse and intersectional communities in the city, her practice questions and queers the everyday dynamics that shape our relationships with others and with ourselves. In 2026, i forgot you the moment the light turned green — Figure 0 was presented at the REGARDE! 2026–2027 exhibition in Montréal. Her recent works also include the experimental film figure/ground (2026), made in collaboration with Richard Kerr, and the experimental video-film nothing else matters (2026). In 2025, she received the Susan Schouten Documentary Film Award for outstanding documentary work reflecting social justice concerns, and the Nicholas Racz Memorial Scholarship.
