Nola, born in 2002, is an emerging filmmaker and aspiring producer based in Montreal, Québec, where she studies at the Mel Hoppenheim School of Cinema. Deeply engaged with transgender and feminist communities in the city she calls home, she situates herself within a collective web of voices and fosters a sense of shared responsibility and solidarity. Embracing the politics of power within filmmaking, her work queers the hierarchical structures of collaboration with an aesthetic fluidity between filmmakers and subjects.
