nothing else matters is an experimental film exploring the alienation and affirmation of the gendered body through the experience of a trans woman held captive in a dark room. Composed entirely of contact-microphone recordings of the human body, the soundscape transforms the body into an environment of its own. Through this sensory isolation, the captive undertakes an inward spiritual journey that reveals to her the inevitability of her own existence.
